The management of the Federal University of Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE), has expelled five (5) students and suspended one hundred and fifty two (152) others for due to examination malpractice.

This decision was disclosed in a statement from the universityʼs Academic Affairs Office.


The FUOYE management explained that these disciplinary actions were based on the recommendations of the Students’ Disciplinary Committee (SDC) that the expelled and suspended students were found guilty of various examination malpractice offences.




The students who have been expelled with immediate effect are:


  • Okeredima Delight Ozioma (Social Sciences/Sociology)
  • Akanmu Yusuf Adeyinka (Civil Engineering)
  • Lateef Jimoh (Social Sciences/Economics)
  • Adams Tijani (Science/Mathematics)

In addition to the expulsions, one hundred and fifty two (152) students have been suspended for durations ranging from one to two semesters.
