FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY BABURA (FUTB) ANNOUNCES UNDERGRADUATE MATRICULATION CEREMONY FOR THE 2024/2025 ACADEMIC SESSION
The Federal University of Technology, Babura (FUTB), has officially announced the date for its much-anticipated Matriculation Ceremony for the 2024/2025 academic session. The ceremony is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, 29th April 2025, and it will mark the formal induction of all newly admitted 100 Level and Direct Entry students into the university community.
In a circular issued by the Registrar’s Office, the university emphasized that attendance at the ceremony is compulsory for all new students. This event is a significant milestone in the academic journey of the students, symbolizing their official entry into the institution.
To participate in the ceremony, students are required to complete the collection of their academic gowns from the Academic Office, beginning from Tuesday, 22nd April 2025 to Monday, 28th April 2025. A non-refundable fee of One Thousand Naira (₦1,000.00) must be paid at the Bursary Department before collecting the gown.
Additionally, students must fill out the Release of Academic Gown and Matriculation Oath Forms and return these documents along with the academic gowns.
The university has also set a strict return period for the gowns, which must be returned by Monday, 5th May 2025. Failure to return the gown on time or any damage/loss will result in penalties, including a full replacement fee for the gown.
The Matriculation Ceremony is a key part of the university’s tradition, marking the official beginning of the students’ academic careers at FUTB. All new students are urged to adhere to the guidelines to ensure a smooth process leading up to the event.
