FUTMINNA BEGINS CONSTRUCTION OF 100 MILLION NAIRA FEMALE HOSTEL
Demonstrating its unwavering commitment to enhancing campus infrastructure and expanding student accommodation, the Governing Council of the Federal University of Technology, Minna (FUT, Minna), has officially commenced the construction of a new female hostel valued at 100 million Naira.
The project, a generous donation from the Executive Governor of Niger State, His Excellency Farmer (Dr.) Umar Mohammed Bago, was formally inaugurated today, Thursday, April 17, 2025, with a foundation laying ceremony held at the project site University ‘s Main Campus.
Presiding over the event was the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Dr. Mohammed K. Santuraki, who was joined by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Faruk Adamu Kuta, and other distinguished members of the Council.
The new hostel block will comprise 12 ensuite rooms with attached kitchenettes, a common room, laundry facility, and porter’s office a purpose designed facility aimed at alleviating the current accommodation deficit for female students within the University.
