UNICAL Dentistry Students Consider Lawsuit Over Alleged Admission Irregularities

Dentistry students at the University of Calabar have threatened legal action against the institution over what they describe as admission fraud caused by an over-admission crisis in their faculty.

Protesting at the South-South Zonal Constitutional Review hearing in Calabar, the students, dressed in white lab coats and holding placards with messages like “Save Dentistry in UNICAL” and “We Chose Dentistry, Not Related Courses,” appealed to federal lawmakers and stakeholders for urgent intervention.

They rejected any move to transfer or change their course of study and insisted on graduating as dentists, warning that if no solution is provided, they will take the university to court to protect their future.
