Lagos State University (LASU) will resume full academic and social activities on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, following the suspension of the Joint Action Committee (JAC) strike.
The decision came after JAC reached an agreement to end the industrial action during a meeting with Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr. Obafemi Hamzat.
According to the Senate’s resolution, students can return to campus and hostels from August 13, while the 2024/2025 Second Semester Examinations will begin on August 18.
The strike, which started on July 31, had led to a suspension of activities since August 2, but with the dispute resolved, LASU’s academic calendar is now back on track.
