The College of Nursing Sciences at UMTH offers a four-year uninterrupted programme, consisting of eight semesters. At the end of the programme, successful students will be awarded a Higher National Diploma (HND) in General Nursing Sciences.

Admission Requirements
To qualify for admission into the 2025/2026 session, candidates must meet the following requirements:
1. UTME Requirement
Applicants must have sat for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
They must have scored a minimum of 150 in the examination.
Candidates who did not originally choose UMTH College of Nursing Sciences as their institution must visit the JAMB portal to apply for a change of institution and course of study. It is also important that their O’Level and JAMB results are properly uploaded and accepted on the JAMB portal, as failure to do this may disqualify them.
2. O’Level Requirement
Applicants must possess at least five O’Level credits in the following subjects:
English Language
Mathematics
Physics
Chemistry
Biology
These credits must be obtained in not more than two sittings in WAEC or NECO examinations.
In addition, equivalent results from NABTEB and NBATS are also accepted for this programme.
3. Age Requirement
The minimum age for applicants is 16 years.
The maximum age is 24 years.
Candidates who are younger or older than this age range are not eligible for admission.
