Lagos State University (LASU) has announced the implementation and use of an electronic examination docket for all full-time undergraduate students, beginning with the Harmattan (First) Semester examinations of the 2025/2026 academic session.
The development was disclosed in an official statement by the University, noting that the e-examination docket system has already been in successful use for the School of Part-Time Studies (SPTS) and Sandwich Degree programmes over the last two academic sessions. Its adoption for full-time undergraduate examinations is described as a consolidation of an already tested and effective process.
According to the University, the initiative aligns with its forthcoming paperless policy and is aimed at strengthening transparency, accountability, and security in examination administration.
The e-examination docket is a digital system designed to manage official examination records securely. Each docket is uniquely generated, timestamped, and fully traceable, with all actions logged and attributable. This, the University explained, significantly reduces the risk of forgery, document manipulation, duplication, impersonation, or loss associated with manual and paper-based processes.
LASU further announced that the e-examination docket will be available for download from Friday, January 23, 2026. Students are required to download the docket from the registration portal by clicking on “Download E-Docket” and ensure that it is duly endorsed by the appropriate level coordinator.
The University emphasized that only properly endorsed e-examination dockets will grant students access to all examination venues, including written examination halls and CBT centres.
All Deans, Heads of Department, Examination Officers, Level Coordinators, invigilators, supervisors, students, and other relevant stakeholders have been enjoined to take note of the directive and ensure full compliance across all categories of examinations.
