ALEX EKWUEME FEDERAL UNIVERSITY, NDUFU-ALIKE ANNOUNCES POST-UTME & DIRECT ENTRY SCREENING FORM FOR 2026/2027 ACADEMIC SESSION

The management of Alex Ekwueme Federal University Ndufu-Alike (AE-FUNAI), Ebonyi State, has officially commenced registration for its 2026/2027 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) Screening Exercise for qualified candidates seeking admission into the institution.

According to the university, the online registration exercise will begin on Monday, 25th May 2026 and close on Tuesday, 30th June 2026.

Candidates who scored 150 and above in the 2026 UTME and selected AE-FUNAI as their first-choice institution are eligible to apply. However, applicants are advised to carefully check the specific departmental cut-off marks applicable to their preferred programmes.


GENERAL ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Applicants must:

  • Score at least 150 in the 2026 UTME
  • Possess the required O’Level credits relevant to their chosen course
  • Upload their O’Level/A’Level results on JAMB CAPS
  • Ensure all registration details are accurate and verifiable

Candidates who did not initially select AE-FUNAI as first choice may still apply after carrying out a Change of Institution/Course on the JAMB portal before 30th June 2026.


SPECIAL ADMISSION CONDITIONS

The university emphasized the following critical admission policies:

  • Applicants for:
    • Medicine & Surgery
    • Nursing Science
    • Medical Laboratory Science
      must obtain their O’Level results in one sitting only.
  • Any candidate discovered to have supplied false information at any stage of the admission process will be automatically disqualified.
  • Candidates are advised to use active and accessible phone numbers during registration for smooth communication.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

Eligible candidates are required to pay a non-refundable screening fee of ₦2,000 only.

Steps to Apply

  1. Visit the university portal: www.funai.edu.ng
  2. Navigate to Admissions
  3. Select:
    • 2026/2027 UTME Screening
      OR
    • 2026/2027 Direct Entry Screening
  4. Click Prospective Students
  5. Select Click to Apply
  6. Enter your JAMB Registration Number
  7. Generate your Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR)
  8. Proceed to payment
  9. Return to complete the application form
  10. Submit and print your acknowledgement slip

SCREENING METHOD

The screening exercise will be conducted strictly through an internal online screening system, using candidates’:

  • UTME scores
  • O’Level grades
  • Uploaded JAMB CAPS records

No physical examination has been announced.


IMPORTANT WARNING TO APPLICANTS

Candidates must ensure:

  • Their O’Level/A’Level results are uploaded on JAMB CAPS before 30th June 2026
  • Their personal details match across all official records
  • They complete all corrections and change of institution processes before the deadline

Failure to comply may result in automatic disqualification from the admission process.
