ALVAN IKOKU FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF EDUCATION RELEASES POST-UTME/DE ADMISSION FORM FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

The Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education, Owerri wishes to bring to the attention of the general public, particularly all prospective applicants and qualified candidates, that the institution has officially announced the commencement of the registration process for the 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise. This screening is specifically for candidates seeking admission into the University’s prestigious four-year degree programmes in various academic disciplines including Arts Education, Sciences, Social Sciences, as well as Vocational and Technical Education

The screening registration exercise is scheduled to commence on Monday, 28th July 2025. This opportunity is open to all eligible candidates who meet the required criteria for the 2025/2026 academic session. The University strongly encourages all suitably qualified individuals to take advantage of this opportunity and begin their academic journey at one of Nigeria’s most reputable institutions of higher learning, dedicated to the training of future educators and professionals.

To be eligible for this screening, candidates must have scored a minimum of 150 and above in the 2025/2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted by JAMB. This cut-off mark applies to all applicants across the listed degree programmes. Additionally, Direct Entry (DE) candidates are also invited to participate in the screening exercise. Such candidates are expected to possess relevant academic qualifications such as NCE, OND, HND, First Degree, A-Level, or their equivalents in disciplines related to their preferred course of study.

It is imperative for all candidates to ensure that they have uploaded their relevant results onto the JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS). Candidates who fail to upload their O’Level or qualifying results to the JAMB CAPS portal will automatically be disqualified and considered ineligible for admission, regardless of their screening performance.

Furthermore, other qualified and interested candidates who did not initially select Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education, Owerri as their first choice of institution during JAMB registration can still apply. However, such candidates are required to first carry out a Change of Institution process through any JAMB accredited CBT Centre, JAMB office, or preferably the Alvan Ikoku Federal University of Education CBT Centre, to officially make the University their first choice before proceeding with the screening registration.
