Babcock University Issues Important Reminder to Post-SIWES Students on Second Semester Resumption and Registration

Babcock University, Ilishan-Remo, has issued a formal reminder to all students returning from their Student Industrial Work Experience Scheme (SIWES), outlining key dates and directives ahead of the second semester of the 2025 academic calendar.

According to the notice signed by Dr. Joshua Suleiman, Director of Marketing and Communication, resumption and commencement of classes for all Post-SIWES students is scheduled for Tuesday, July 1, 2025.

Final Registration Deadline:

The last date for registration for the second semester is Friday, May 23, 2025. The university has made it clear that no extensions will be granted beyond this date.

Mandatory Registration:

Students will not be allowed to attend lectures or sit for any examinations without completing full registration.

Course Form Requirement:

In line with institutional policy, no course form means no examination. Failure to register and submit the course form will result in ineligibility for exams and a compulsory repeat of the SIWES programme.

Strict Deadline Enforcement:

Any course not registered during the official registration window will not be considered in the final result upload. Students are therefore urged to register within the stipulated period.

Accountability on Students:

The notice stresses that non-compliance is at the student’s risk, and any resulting academic consequences will be borne solely by the student.
