suspected scam message circulating on WhatsApp has thrown over 5,000 Nigerian Law School students into confusion and distress as they await their official bar exam results.
The message, allegedly sent by someone claiming to be “Professor Sir DK Adisa,” offers to upgrade students’ grades in exchange for ₦800,000 to ₦1 million.
What’s more troubling is that the message contains students’ full names, grades, exam numbers, and the results of students who sat before and after them—raising serious concerns about a possible data leak.
Some students received threatening messages implying their results could be tampered with if they didn’t comply, while others were left emotionally shaken and unsure of what to believe.
Although the Law School’s DG dismissed the scam and mocked the victims, many students say the sender’s access to confidential data makes the situation even more frightening and mentally exhausting.
