FEDERAL UNIVERSITY OF TECHNOLOGY, AKURE (FUTA) RELEASES POST-UTME/DE ADMISSION FORM FOR 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

The Federal University of Technology, Akure (commonly called FUTA) is happy to announce that the online registration for the Post-UTME screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session is now open. This screening is important for all candidates who want to gain admission into any of the courses or programmes offered by the university.

Classicinfo report that the registration starts on Friday, 25th July 2025, and will close on Friday, 28th August 2025. It is very important that all interested candidates complete their registration within this time frame because late registration will not be accepted.

WHO CAN APPLY?

Classicinfo report that if you took the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) organized by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and scored at least 180 marks, you are eligible to apply for the Post-UTME screening at FUTA. This means you must have scored 180 or above in your UTME exam to be considered for admission here.

For candidates applying through Direct Entry (DE), you must have made FUTA your first-choice institution. This means you selected FUTA as your preferred university during the Direct Entry application process.

In addition to the above, every candidate must have at least five (5) credit passes in their O’ level examinations. These credits must include English Language and Mathematics. The results can be from one or two sittings of examinations such as WAEC, NECO, NABTEB, or any other recognized equivalent.

This ensures that candidates have the basic educational qualifications required to undertake university-level studies

HOW TO APPLY

The application process for the Post-UTME screening is done completely online through the university’s official website . It is important to follow all steps carefully to avoid mistakes.

Candidates are required to:

1. Visit the university website and read the detailed information on the Post-UTME screening process.

2. Fill in and submit the Post-UTME Application Form on the website.

3. Print out a copy of the completed Registration Form after submission.

Make sure to enter your details carefully. Your UTME Registration Number and your full names, exactly as they appear on your JAMB slip, must be provided correctly at every stage, especially during payment and registration. Mistakes in your details may lead to rejection of your application.

REGISTRATION PROCEDURE

Once you confirm that you are eligible and ready to register, you must complete the registration form online on the FUTA website. This step is very important and must not be skipped.

Before completing the registration form, you need to make payment of the screening fee.

SCREENING FEE

The screening fee is Two Thousand Naira (N2,000) only. This payment can be made at any bank through the Remita platform after you generate the payment code on the FUTA website.

Remember, your registration will not be complete until you have paid the screening fee and submitted the online form. Candidates who do not pay the fee or fail to register before the deadline will not be eligible for the screening exercise, and this will disqualify them from being considered for admission.

IMPORTANT NOTES

1. Candidates must upload their O’ level examination results on JAMB CAPS and share the results with FUTA before or by Friday, 28th August 2025. Failure to do this will result in disqualification from the admission process.

2. Any candidate who does not participate in the Post-UTME screening exercise will not be considered for admission into the university. This means if you don’t register and complete the screening, your admission will not be processed.

3. All candidates must be at least 16 years old by 30th September 2025 to be eligible for admission. This age requirement is strictly enforced.

4. The registration process will close on 28th August 2025. No late registration or payment will be accepted.
