JAMB ANNOUNCES SCHEDULE FOR 2025 MOP-UP UTME
96,838 Candidates to Re-sit Exam; Notification Slip Printing Begins Monday, June 23
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially announced that the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exercise will be conducted on Saturday, 28th June 2025.
This development follows the need to accommodate a total of 96,838 candidates who, for various reasons, were unable to participate fully in the earlier phases of the 2025 UTME. These include:
5,096 candidates affected by biometric verification failures during the main examination.
91,742 candidates who were absent from both the main and rescheduled UTME sessions but have been granted a special dispensation to participate in this mop-up.
According to JAMB, the examination will be held simultaneously across 183 designated centres nationwide, with additional candidates placed on standby should there be further updates.
Candidates slated for this mop-up are advised to commence the printing of their examination notification slips starting from Monday, 23rd June 2025. The slips contain vital information such as examination venue, date, and time.
JAMB emphasizes that this opportunity is exclusively for the 2025 UTME session and urges all affected candidates to take advantage of the mop-up provision to avoid missing out entirely on this year’s admission cycle.
