LASU Issues CBT Examination Guidelines as 2025/2026 First Semester Exams Begin January 26
The Lagos State University (LASU) has released comprehensive guidelines for the conduct of the 2025/2026 Academic Session First Semester Computer-Based Test (CBT) examinations for full-time undergraduate students.
The examinations are scheduled to commence on Monday, January 26, 2026.
The guidelines, approved by the University Senate at its 326th Statutory Meeting held on Thursday, January 8, 2026, are aimed at ensuring a smooth, orderly, and hitch-free examination process at the Lagos State University Computer Test Centre (LASU-CTC).
According to the directive, the Buba Marwa Auditorium will serve as the holding bay for students sitting for CBT examinations. Only students officially scheduled for CBT examinations will be granted access into the auditorium.
Students are required to present valid means of identification before entry into the LASU-CTC. These include the University Identity Card, Examination Docket, and CBT Examination Schedule. Identity verification will be conducted by invigilators before and during the examinations.
The University also stressed strict adherence to the examination timetable, directing students to report at the exact time stated on their examination slips. Candidates are expected to arrive at least fifteen minutes before their scheduled examination time.
Face concealment or covering during examinations has been expressly prohibited. Students are also expected to maintain orderly queues at all times, while entry and exit into the CBT Centre will be regulated by invigilators. All instructions issued by examination officials must be strictly obeyed.
LASU further advised that complaints concerning clashes between CBT and non-CBT examinations or other examination-related issues should be reported before the commencement of examinations to appropriate authorities such as Course Lecturers, Course Advisers, Heads of Department, Deans, or Sub-Deans.
In case of emergencies, students are to comply immediately with instructions from authorised officials. Upon completion of examinations, candidates are expected to exit the examination hall immediately and must not loiter around the CBT Centre or holding bay.
Students have also been advised to eat adequately before coming for their examinations to prevent weakness or discomfort during the test.
The University reiterated its zero-tolerance stance on examination malpractice and misconduct, urging all students to strictly comply with the approved guidelines throughout the examination period.
