The Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians Registration Board of Nigeria has inducted 105 optometry graduates from the University of Benin into the profession.
At the ceremony, Registrar Dr. Obinna Awiaka urged them to uphold their training, work hard during their internship, and prioritise service over money.
UNIBEN Vice Chancellor Prof. Edoba Omoregie, represented by Prof. Christopher Osubor, encouraged them to be worthy ambassadors, while Protem Dean Prof. Ekinadoese Oghre advised them to maintain professionalism and support the faculty’s growth.
Guest lecturer Dr. Ochuko Onovae urged continuous learning, mentorship, and impactful contributions to society.
