UNIVERSITY OF LAGOS [UNILAG] ACTIVATES POST-UTME REGISTRATION PORTAL FOR THE 2025/2026 ACADEMIC SESSION

Do you want to study at the University of Lagos (UNILAG)? Have you made UNILAG your first choice in your JAMB UTME or Direct Entry? Then this is your chance to apply!

The University of Lagos has officially started selling Post-UTME and Direct Entry forms for the 2025/2026 academic session. If you are interested in joining one of the best universities in Nigeria, please read this full guide carefully. We’ve made everything easy to understand – even a 10-year-old can read and get the message!

 Who Can Apply?

To apply for UNILAG admission, you must meet these conditions:

1. First Choice: You must have chosen the University of Lagos (UNILAG) as your first choice when registering for JAMB (UTME or Direct Entry).

2. Minimum JAMB Score: You must have scored at least 200 and above in your UTME.

3. O’Level Results: You must have at least five (5) credit passes in your O’level result (WAEC, NECO, GCE, or NABTEB). These must include:

  • English Language
  • Mathematics
  • And three other subjects related to the course you want to study.

 Important: All these credits must be from one sitting only. Two sittings are not allowed.

4. Age Limit: You must be at least 16 years old by 30th September 2025. If you are younger than 16 by that date, please don’t apply.

5. Uploading O’Level: Your O’Level results must be uploaded on the JAMB CAPS portal on or before September 12, 2025. If not, you won’t be considered for admission.

6. Participation in Post-UTME: You must take part in the UNILAG online Post-UTME screening test. If you don’t take the test, you will not be admitted, no matter your score.

 Important Dates to Note

 Start Date for Registration:

Monday, 28th July 2025

This is the first day you can apply online for UNILAG Post-UTME or Direct Entry admission. Don’t wait till the last minute!

 Closing Date for Registration:

Wednesday, 20th August 2025

This is the final date to register. If you miss this deadline, you won’t be able to apply at all.

🧪 Post-UTME Online Exam Information

Yes, the UNILAG Post-UTME test will be held online. You can do it from your computer or phone from anywhere with internet access.

 Mock Examination (Optional but Recommended)

UNILAG will hold a mock exam (practice test) for all candidates to get used to the online test system.

Date: 25th August to 27th August, 2025

It’s a good way to practice before the real exam.

You will know how the real test works and how to use the online platform.

 Main Post-UTME Online Exam (Compulsory)

Date: Monday, 1st September to Friday, 5th September 2025

You must take this test if you want to be considered for admission.

 How to Prepare for the Online Screening Test

Here are some helpful tips for passing the UNILAG Post-UTME test:

1. Read Your JAMB Subjects Again: Focus on English, Mathematics, and the two other subjects related to your course.

2. Use Past Questions: Practice UNILAG Post-UTME past questions to know the kind of questions to expect.

3. Join a Training Centre: You can register with trusted tutorial centres like Campusinfo Consults Ltd (details below) to help you prepare better.

4. Stable Internet: Make sure you have a good internet connection on the day of your exam.

5. Be on Time: Know your scheduled exam date and time. Don’t log in late.

6. Mock Exam is Important: Try to do the mock test. It will help you get comfortable with the test format.

🧑‍💼 For DIRECT ENTRY (DE) Applicants

If you are applying through Direct Entry, you must:

  • Choose UNILAG as your first choice on JAMB.
  • Upload your O’Level result, ND/NCE/HND/A-level result or certificate on the JAMB portal.
  • Apply for the UNILAG screening before the deadline.

Note: UNILAG accepts DE applicants into 200 Level. Your qualifications must match the course you are applying for.

⚠️ Avoid These Mistakes!

1. Don’t Apply Late: Apply early before the deadline.

2. Don’t Use Wrong Subjects: Use the correct O’Level and JAMB subject combinations for your course.

3. Upload Your O’Level Result: Make sure your result is on JAMB CAPS before the deadline.

4. Be Truthful: Don’t give false information – it can get you disqualified.

5. Don’t Skip the Online Test: If you don’t do the test, you won’t get admission.
