Sale of 2026 Direct Entry (DE) application documents and e-PIN vending commence today been Monday, 2nd March, 2026 and end on Saturday, 25th April, 2026.

Registration will be done ONLY at the Board’s State and Zonal Offices.

DIRECT ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

• Minimum of 5 O’level (SSSC) credit passes
• At not more than two sittings
• At least two must be at Principal or Advanced level

Other acceptable qualifications (in lieu of A-LEVEL):

– First Degree (Nigerian Universities)
– First Degree (Foreign Universities)
– University Diploma
– National Diploma (accepted up to 2024 intake only)
– Higher National Diploma (HND)
– NCE
– Nigerian French Language Diploma
– National Arabic Language Diploma
– IJMB A-Level
– JUPEB A-Level
– NABTEB (ANBC / ANTC)
– Cambridge A-Level
– International Baccalaureate (foreign certificates only)
– Foreign GCE A-Level
– Trans-national Foundation Certificates

Awarding institutions MUST forward verification before registration can be completed.

Candidates are advised to pre-verify their DE qualifications before completing registration.

INFORMATION REQUIRED AT REGISTRATION:

All DE candidates must provide:
a) Registration/Matriculation Number
b) Subject(s) of qualification
c) Awarding Institution
d) Affiliated Institution attended (if applicable)
e) Year of graduation

OTHER VITAL DE REGISTRATION & ADMISSION RULES

a) Candidates not awaiting results must upload:
– A-level qualification
– O-level results
– DE Registration Template

No DE registration or upgrade with awaiting O-level results:

b) Admission will NOT be processed until results are uploaded and verified by awarding institutions.

c) Candidates awaiting IJMB/JUPEB/NABTEB results must upload:
– Admission Letter
– Registration Template

d) Pre-2020 Cambridge certificates require direct Cambridge verification (may take up to 28 days).

e) Statement of Result accepted within 3 years of award
(NCE: 1 year only)

f) UTME → DE upgrade is allowed only for candidates who:
– Were awaiting A-level results during UTME registration
– Indicated awaiting result and uploaded registration template

g) Candidates must regularly check their A-level admission status on the e-Facility portal (Status: CLEARED / NOT CLEARED, with reasons)

ADDITIONAL VITAL REGISTRATION RULES:

• Multiple registrations are NOT allowed
• Errors must be corrected through the Board
• Buying a new form due to error invalidates all applications

IMPORTANT CAVEAT:
• DE candidates must provide their JAMB registration numbers used for admission into:
– NCE
– NID
– Diploma
– Previous Degree programmes

• DE registration will NOT be extended beyond UTME/DE registration period.

Do NOT apply for UTME and DE at the same time. UTME can be upgraded to DE at no cost if DE qualification is later obtained .

Obtaining two application documents in one year is punishable.
Double/multiple registrations attract cancellation and prosecution.
