Scholarship Details
The Fish Macroecology Research Group at the University of Delaware is offering a fully funded graduate assistantship for a Master’s student to begin in Fall 2026. The research focuses on how climate change affects the ecology of commercially important fish species. The student will work with fisheries data, oceanographic models, and statistical analysis to study impacts on fish life histories, population dynamics, and geographic distributions.

Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the University of Delaware Scholarship, you must:
· Hold a Bachelor’s degree in marine science, ecology, fisheries science, biology, or a related field.
· Have a demonstrated interest in quantitative ecology, data science, and statistics.
· Be self-motivated, organized, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
Preferred Qualifications (not mandatory):
· Experience in quantitative ecology, data science, and/or statistics.
· Programming experience in R.
· Experience conducting research in the natural sciences.
· Experience with scientific writing.

Scholarship Benefits
Accepted students will receive a comprehensive funding package, including:

· Monthly Stipend: Approximately $3,000 per month (around $36,000 per year, before tax).
