This scholarship provides fully funded, part-time online postgraduate studies at the University of Edinburgh for students in Africa. It aims to support exceptional young leaders who have faced significant barriers to education.

Eligibility Requirements
To be considered for the Edinburgh Online Mastercard Scholarship, you must:
· Be a resident and citizen of a Sub-Saharan African country, or hold refugee status there.
· Be 35 years of age or under as of 1 September 2026.
· Have faced significant barriers to your education (social, financial, personal, practical, or health-related).
· Have a strong academic record, equivalent to a UK Upper Second-Class Bachelor’s degree.
· Have graduated from your undergraduate degree by September 2026, with a certificate and final transcript ready by the application deadline (21 November).
· Demonstrate a track record of leadership and service within your community.
· Demonstrate experience or ambition in addressing the climate crisis.
· Not have previously completed a postgraduate degree (for Masters applicants).
· Not be enrolled at another university while on the scholarship.
Note: The program strongly encourages applications from female scholars, refugees, displaced persons, and persons with disabilities.
