The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new system that allows candidates to upload and verify their O’Level results from the comfort of their homes.
The Board said the initiative, which begins with results from the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), allows candidates’ results to be verified directly with the examination bodies before being uploaded to their JAMB profiles.
According to JAMB, the new arrangement is designed to make the process easier, faster and safer while reducing unnecessary visits to Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres, queues and manual processes.
The Board said the system will also help address challenges associated with manual O’Level result uploads, including misplaced or mixed-up certificates, fraudulent results and errors in the manual entry of subjects and grades.
How to Verify and Upload Your O’Level Result
Candidates are required to first obtain a result verification code by visiting buyresultsverificationcode.ng.
They should enter their NIN, verify their identity, select the number of sittings and examination body or bodies, provide their email address and phone number, and complete the required payment.
After payment, candidates will enter their examination number, examination series and examination year to verify their results and obtain a Verification Code.
Candidates should then send:
VERIFY {Verification Code}
to 55019 or 66019.
JAMB said the result will subsequently be uploaded, with candidates receiving a notification.
Candidates with two sittings will be required to log into their JAMB e-Facility profile and select “2026 UTME O’Level Upload.” They should enter their Verification Code, select the required subjects from their verified results and submit the application.
Candidates must select a minimum of five subjects and a maximum of nine subjects, with no subject selected more than once.
JAMB said the new verification service provides candidates with a convenient alternative, particularly during periods of high patronage and network challenges at CBT centres.
The Board added that it would continue to deploy technology and collaborate with examination and government agencies to make its services simpler, safer and more accessible to candidates.
