The management of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, has announced the commencement of the 2026/2027 Intra-University Transfer Exercise for eligible undergraduate students.
According to the University, the online application portal is now open for students who wish to transfer from their current Faculty, Department, or Programme to another within the institution.
The exercise is designed to provide qualified students with the opportunity to seek a change of academic programme, subject to the University’s guidelines and approval procedures.
Eligibility
The transfer exercise is open to undergraduate students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University who intend to change their current Faculty, Department, or Programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Applicants are advised to ensure they meet all relevant requirements before submitting their applications.
Application Procedure
Interested students are to complete their applications online only through the University’s Intra-University Transfer Portal:

Applicants are required to:
- Log in using their Registration Number/Email Address and Student Portal Password.
- Carefully verify their academic records.
- Select their preferred Faculty, Department, or Programme.
- State the reason for requesting the transfer.
- Complete the prescribed online payment.
- Submit the application after confirming that all information provided is accurate.
Students are advised to review all entries carefully before submission, as incorrect information may affect the processing of their applications.
Approval Process
The University stated that all transfer applications will undergo the prescribed approval process before any final decision is made.

- Dean of Faculty
- Registrar
- Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academics)
- Vice-Chancellor
Only applications that satisfy the University’s requirements and receive the necessary approvals will be considered successful.
