FULAFIA GETS FULL NUC ACCREDITATION FOR ALL PROGRAMMES

The Federal University of Lafia (FULafia) has recorded a major academic milestone following the attainment of a 100 per cent full accreditation status for all its academic programmes assessed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) in 2025.

The Vice-Chancellor of the institution, Mohammed Isa Kida, described the development as a significant step forward in the university’s sustained pursuit of academic excellence and institutional growth.

He expressed appreciation to the immediate past Vice-Chancellor, Shehu Abdul Rahman, under whose leadership the accreditation exercise was conducted, acknowledging his role in laying the groundwork for the success recorded.

Kida also commended the immediate past Director of Academic Planning and current Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic Affairs), Ilemona Adofu, for his resilience, diligence, and commitment in coordinating the accreditation processes.

The Vice-Chancellor further lauded Deans of Faculties and Heads of Departments for their cooperation and dedication, noting that their collective efforts ensured that all programmes presented during the exercise met the required standards set by the Commission.

He stated that the achievement reflects the university’s continued investment in human capital development, infrastructural expansion, and strict adherence to regulatory benchmarks established by the NUC.

Kida assured stakeholders that the institution would build on the success and remain committed to maintaining high standards in teaching, research, and community service.
