The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that it will not conduct or approve admissions into the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) programmes at eight Nigerian universities for the 2025/2026 academic session. The decision follows a suspension of the affected LL.B programmes by the Council of Legal Education (CLE), JAMB said in a statement signed by its Public Communications Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin.
The universities affected, according to the JAMB statement, are: Kwara State University (Malete), Bingham University (Karu), Redeemers University (Ede), Western Delta University (Oghara), Taraba State University (Jalingo), Arthur Jarvis University (Akpabuyo), Alex Ekwueme Federal University (Ndufu-Alike) and the Nigerian Police Academy (Wudil).
JAMB clarified that it will not approve any admissions for candidates seeking to register for Law at these institutions for the 2025/2026 session.
