Lagos State University of Science and Technology has recorded an outstanding performance in the 2025 accreditation exercise conducted by the National Universities Commission, securing full accreditation in 13 out of 14 programmes presented.
The Vice-Chancellor, Olumuyiwa Omotola Odusanya, disclosed the development, noting that only one programme received interim accreditation.

Estate Management and Valuation – Full Accreditation
Quantity Surveying – Full Accreditation
Building Technology – Full Accreditation
Urban and Regional Planning – Full Accreditation
College of Engineering and Technology
Food Science and Biotechnology – Full Accreditation
Agriculture and Biosystems Engineering – Full Accreditation
Civil and Construction Engineering – Full Accreditation
Computer Engineering – Full Accreditation
Mechanical Engineering – Full Accreditation
Mechatronics Engineering – Full Accreditation
Electrical and Electronics Engineering – Interim Accreditation
In addition, the University secured full accreditation for Architecture from the Architects Registration Council of Nigeria.
The Vice-Chancellor stated that the achievement reflects the University’s consistent growth, adding that all 39 programmes presented for accreditation since its establishment have been successful, with none failing.
He expressed appreciation to staff and students for their dedication and urged the University community to sustain the momentum ahead of the 2026 accreditation exercise.
