The management of Imo State University (IMSU), Owerri, has released the admission list for the 2025/2026 academic session.
All prospective candidates who participated in the IMSU Post-UTME screening exercise are advised to check their admission status via the JAMB CAPS Portal or the IMSU Admission Portal.
How to Check IMSU Admission Status on JAMB CAPS Portal
As of this announcement, the IMSU admission list is accessible through the JAMB CAPS (Central Admission Processing System). Follow the steps below to confirm your admission:
Steps to Check Admission Status on JAMB Portal
To check your status on the JAMB CAPS Portal, follow these steps:
▪ Go to https://efacility.jamb.gov.ng/.
▪ Log in to your JAMB profile using your username and password.
▪ Scroll down to find and click on the Check Admission Status tab.
▪ Click on Admission Status, or Access my CAPS.
▪ Select the three-dotted lines (⋮) at the top right of your browser and tick Desktop site.
▪ Then click on admission status again.
You will see one of the following statuses:
▪ CONGRATULATIONS… If you see this, you should accept or reject your admission and wait for further instructions.
▪ admission in progress check back later. If you see this, be patient as the status should change in a few days or weeks.
▪ Not Admitted. If this is your status, the article advises you not to give up hope as you might still gain admission.
Important Information for Admitted Candidates
▪ Login to their JAMB Central Admission Processing System (CAPS) and ACCEPT or REJECT their admission.
▪ Print their JAMB admission letter after accepting
▪ Print their original JAMB result slip (with passport photograph attached)
▪ Apply for a change of course on JAMB Portal if offered a course different from the one initially applied for
Steps After Admission
If you find yourself among the lucky ones, there are still duties to perform:
▪ Send ACCEPT or REJECT as an SMS to 55019 or 66019 using the phone number linked to your JAMB profile
▪ Once accepted, print your JAMB admission letter – it will be required for clearance and registration

▪ The admission list is uploaded on the JAMB portal as it is processed
▪ Keep checking the JAMB website regularly for updates

Once uploaded, candidates can also confirm their admission on the official IMSU Admission Portal.

▪ Enter your JAMB Registration Number
▪ Click “Check” to view your admission status
How to Verify IMSU New Student Account
This process may follow last year’s procedure (subject to confirmation by the management):
▪ Visit https://imsu.edu.ng/
▪ Click on the Portal link
▪ Select “Verify Account”
▪ Choose “New Student” and enter your JAMB Registration Number
▪ Click “Verify” to confirm your details
▪ Log in using the generated username and password displayed on the screen
Once verified, proceed to pay your IMSU Acceptance Fee as directed by the University.
